I am enjoying this book and find it hard to understand why they did not include it in the original Cannon. I assume they believe, as I have researched, that it was not so much as Inspire, but more of just history. Either way the Book of Jasher fills many GAPS and historical context and help the reader to understand more of the whole picture. The Book of Jasher helps relate more of the historical texts of Genesis and Judges. It elaborate on why God did certain things, why certain thing took place and why the Patriarchs did what they did. This I believe is a necessary addition to the Bible and although you may not consider it inspired it is still history and will help the reader, Christian or not, understand.
Mentioned in the Bible as a history reference book, good to read and verifies Bible truths. An important read.
